[Ladies and gentlemen of Johto, we interrupt your regularly scheduled programming this evening for a Very Special Radio Broadcast™, coming to you direct from Goldenrod Radio Tower...and conveniently lacking in all those pesky little bits of red tape like authorization and advance permission that just get in the way of the show.

As such, the usual Pokemon favorites are conspicuously absent; they've been replaced by something a bit more palatable to the discerning listener. Tangos, jazz, the occasional rondo here and there. And the usual DJs? Yes, well, it turns out they've been replaced by something a bit more palatable, too. Namely, a pair of troublemakers calling themselves

futariniousama and

usedlaserbeam.

First up, a sultry alto (which may seem oddly familiar to a few of you), sounding perhaps more suited to a phone sex hotline than a radio station host: ]

"Evening, Johto~ Are you ready for a very special treat? Because have we got a surprise for you~"

[Then, following that alto, a deeper voice proceeds to chime in—one that a very select few might recognize as sounding very familiar to one Atobe Keigo.]

"And you should all feel honored for the once-in-a-lifetime experience you're about to be given."

[And without missing a beat, the voice switches back—]

"See, we've decided to borrow your airwaves for a little while. Oh, don't worry! We'll take good care of them, promise~"

"Tonight, instead of the usual mundane drivel you people normally content yourselves with—"

"—we're gonna turn up the heat a little bit—"

"—and bring some culture back into your poor, wanting lives."

[And as the first song cues, feel free to just sit back, enjoy the music, revel in the change of pace—or if you're really feeling moved, why not call in? The lines are open, the DJs are waiting, and they'd just love to hear what you have to say. Or, if there's some burning question that's on your mind, why not phone it in to tonight's premiere of Ask Ore-sama, and let him offer his worldly advice to you?

Regardless, we hope you enjoy the show, because all good things must end and the sweetest treats always come with an expiration date. In this case, that'd be the unmistakable sound of the Kangaskhan Cops storming the building—

—But never fear, folks. If there's one thing your hosts know how to do, it's make an exit.]

[OOC: And now, for the tl;dr explanation of these mod-approved shenanigans! Basically, Yagyuu and Niou share a mutual anniversary in Johto, and they've decided to celebrate it by hijacking the radio tower and running an impromptu radio show for an hour or two this evening. Characters are free to tune in, react accordingly, phone in to the radio station via their Gears, etc! The show itself will end rather abruptly when the Kangaskhan Cops arrive and our dastardly duo makes their escape. But hey, an inch is as good as a mile, and a narrow getaway is still a getaway, right? But they won't leave Jenny and her Kangaskhan high and dry, either; local law enforcement will find a polite note left behind for them, courtesy of 'Bonnie and Clyde'.

[ When the tango ends, their momentum comes to a smooth, if sudden halt, with Niou's weight resting in Yagyuu's arms, and for half a second, he swears if the bastard drops him — but he can't focus on that for long, because Yagyuu's holding him up seemingly effortlessly, and there's not nearly enough distance between them, and has he always thought Atobe was this attractive?

He remembers to breathe after a moment, slowly and carefully, without taking his eyes off his partner. He doesn't move. ]

[ oh, god. Rise's been spending most of her time with Kanji in the Center today, but those voices are unmistakable. One, because she's never going to be able to get over just how feminine Niou can sound, and two, because Atobe's voice, whether it's actually Atobe's or not, is always going to make her cringe ever so slightly.

What a nice change of pace. I must admit, Johto does lack a bit when it comes to culture.

Would it be untoward to ask for some advice from such cultured people as yourselves?

[Looking down at the radio, Ryoma rolls his eyes so hard it's amazing they stay in his head.] ... You've got to be KIDDING me...

...What are you doing.

[ He is pretty sure that's how you reply, anyways. ]

well. that would explain what those two were up to earlier in the week. they must've been practicing for this. he's... not entirely sure he sees the point, but they do seem to like doing odd things like this. and hijacking the Radio Tower isn't the most terrible criminal activity they could be doing, really--

...it's probably a good thing Atobe isn't here, actually, he would not be happy about this.]

[It's a familiar voice to Yagyuu, but naturally Atobe would treat all his callers equally--as though it was the highest privilege that he'd even deigned to allow them to speak with him.]

My, my, I had no idea Johto's populace was so inept at appreciating the finer aspects of true culture. How fortunate that we're here to educate you, caller.

[...Oh. Oh, boy. Okay, Yagyuu, don't choke. You mouthed off to Sanada before while wearing Niou's face. You can arrogance it up to Yukimura.

That is, naturally, the purpose of this segment--to let Ore-sama bestow the full breadth of his wisdom upon your unfortunate lives. So tell us, caller, what problem have you brought before us today?

[Well. This is just a night of interesting callers, isn't it?]

Simply further proof that Ore-sama is as magnanimous as he is magnificent. And what wisdom have you come seeking from us tonight, caller?

Is that what we're calling it these days? Really, that's probably more entertaining than the rest of the broadcast itself!

[Yep. Laughing and giving no fucks about it, Ore-sama.]

Hmm, well, first off, is this relationship advice strictly limited to romantic relationships?

[Of course he would, and Yukimura expects nothing less.]

Say that you had a dear friend - or two - who'd lied to you. They follow your orders, and naturally this means they must be given some sort of discipline. Lying is wrong, after all. What task would you set them, in such a case?

And your lovely partner has the same taste, it sounds like.

Even a dear friend should never be allowed to forget that he - or they - are, of course, still subordinate to your command. Obviously, all of you can't boast nearly the same prowess as I can, but the point still holds, even in a diminished way. And for a transgression as ill-mannered and presumptuous as lying, the punishment must naturally equal the severity of the offense.

[A pause.]

Thus, dear friend or not, I'd be forced to ban them from any use of my private island for no less than six months, revoke all helicopter privileges, and suspend their expenses account with my fabulously successful multinational company until they'd sufficiently atoned for their sins.
