That doesn't last for long, though, because soon enough there's a soft thump, and shortly thereafter Yagyuu's voice comes in—]

At the risk of attributing far too much credit to these Pokemon of ours, has anyone happened to notice them occasionally displaying motives that appear to be almost unsettlingly human in nature?

Houndour. He has both traits too, and pretty much growls at anyone who isn't me.

Neither. I did raise him from an egg though? But I did the same with my Growlithe and Shinx and they're both... uh normal? Saying that, my Growlithe has a habit of licking people and pokemon but...

It's possible? I did take pretty good care of them. I did also hear that Houndour's are supposed to be pretty aggressive? Maybe that links with it as well.

...Houndour and Growlithe fight all the time, yeah.

That and they just seem to naturally hate each other a lot. Unless they're battling together it's just... Yeah. They really don't get along.

Probably not but it kinda started when I was first raising them though, and it's only at the Growlithe. I was raising a Shinx at the same time too.

Nah, they're all male.

Yeah, it's... pretty weird. I wonder if it's to do with the names I gave them sometimes, as the people they're named after fought a lot.

Yeah. I mean, there's nothing else I can think of that would set them off. They both get on with my other Pokemon fine, it's just... with each other. They're mostly all named after the same group as well.

Uh. Not exactly? The founding fathers of America. As, y'know, I'm America and all. I still kinda miss them so.

I wouldn't really expect you to really. A lot of people have been in shock the first time I talk to them so.

But it's Adams and Jefferson that keep fighting. They did back then too so.
