[What's one of the biggest perks of having a regular job? Why, the disposable income, of course. And today it seems Yagyuu has seen fit to put it to use, as he is currently walking through the streets of Goldenrod City, pausing to look in store windows and evidently doing a fair amount of window shopping while he's at it. He's got what's probably a shopping list in his hand, as well; at least, it's a piece of paper he's carrying with him and referencing every so often, and occasionally making marks on with a pencil.

After a few minutes of candid camera, though, he glances down and retrieves his Gear, moving to activate it—and looking only mildly surprised when he discovers it's already on.]

Well, that saves me a certain amount of effort, at least. [He lightly clears his throat.] Provided it's not too much trouble, if any long-term residents of Goldenrod City would be willing to offer their expertise in a certain matter, I'd greatly appreciate any recommendations toward reputable stores with a wide availability of home decorations and furnishings. Preferably not of the Pokemon-themed variety, if at all possible. I've found a few promising establishments of my own, but in a city this large, there's always the potential to overlook available options, so I'd be grateful for any assistance.

[And with a polite, almost friendly smile, he nods in affirmation and then switches the feed off.]

I'd hope so. I have no intention of furnishing our house with Bulbasaur Bookshelves, Diglett Desks, Clefairy Counters, or anything of the like.

The Raticate Rugs are huge sellers, though.

Good. Perhaps they'll be sold out by the time I arrive.

[ that gets a grin out of her. ] You're a tough customer, Yagyuu-kun.

[He shrugs slightly, playing it straight.]

Simply another way of saying I have discerning tastes.

That don't include Pokémon themes. [ and she stops, gesturing to the building before her with a sweeping flourish. ] Well, here's Round One!

[And being Yagyuu, he proceeds to survey it with a critical eye--no, he probably wouldn't have found this one on his own, come to think of it. And from the look of the display items in the window, it's a fairly reputable establishment; things look clean enough, and there's no kitschy Pokemon in sight. Good.]

With luck, it'll be just what I'm looking for.

[ Rise knows her establishments. She only smiles, though, rocking back on her heels. ]

The best stuff is towards the back, but it's not too hard to find.

[Ever the gentleman, he instinctively moves for the door.]

Have I taken up all of your spare time, or do you have a little more to continue exploring with me?

[ she won't stop him, hesitating to let him reach the door first before she follows. ] Plenty of spare time left, so consider it yours.

[And as expected, he holds it for her. Because that's just how he rolls.]

In that case, let's see what this store has to offer.

[ she does an impromptu curtsy mid-step before she's in, already glancing around. ]

No Raticate Rugs, lucky guy.

[He follows after, giving Phantom a quick look; most stores in Johto don't seem to mind loose Pokemon wandering around with their trainers, but it still always feels like bringing an unleashed pet into a place where it doesn't belong.]

But have you spotted the life-or-death couch yet?

Not yet, but it'll be hard to miss. I won't let it get away!

I should hope not. If it's capable of fleeing from you, we'll have greater problems than just the design or the price.

Then it'll actually be a furniture hunt.
