[After a productive (but admittedly somewhat boring) five hours of work sorting and filing papers at the Cherrygrove Pokémon Center, it's finally time for Yagyuu to head for home--or at least, for the room at the Cherrygrove Inn he's been sharing with Kirihara-kun since they both arrived in the city yesterday. He'd gladly work longer hours if they'd let him, but the rules are strict for minors, and so he's being cheerfully shooed out as soon as his time is up for the day.

As a result, anyone in the vicinity of the Center in Cherrygrove will probably see him exiting the front doors, his Breeder's Manual already open in one hand for casual perusal as he starts his walk back toward the inn. Strangely, he doesn't seem to have any Pokémon with him, though he does have his backpack slung casually over his shoulder like a model student might.

All things considered, he's not hard to spot, both from his lack of visible Pokémon and his bright yellow Rikkai jersey with the collar popped up at the neck. Which means he's also a prime target for bothering, should anyone feel so inclined.]

Back home, he protected me even when he was sure it would get him killed... And kept protecting me even when I was making stupid mistakes... He's a special kind of person.

Then I can hardly be sorry to be mistaken for him. He sounds like an upstanding, generous person.

[And compliments usually work to settle distraught girls.]

[Midori laughs softly.] He's wonderful... Even if he was... being kinda dumb when I got taken here...

[As he makes at least a valiant attempt at sounding understanding.]

[Midori startles a little bit.] O-oh, but my problems aren't your problems! [She still feels a little guilty.]

[Midori smiles a little.] I'm going shopping for snacks... My friends and I ate everything we had in our hotel room.

At the Cherrygrove Inn? That's where my friend and I are staying, as well.

Mm-hmm! It seems like there really isn't much by way of choices... They must make a fortune!

With a monopoly on the business? Yes, I'm sure they must. But it's hard to turn down a solid room and a real bed when they're offered, especially when the only other alternative is a sleeping bag in the wilderness.

I know what you mean... I got so tired of camping...

It's far from a pleasant experience, I agree. Particularly when it's so dangerous out.

I was really worried about the people who were traveling when the bugs started coming around...

I was one of them, I think. As I understand it, I arrived in the middle of the crisis and had to take my chances with them on the road.

Did you run into any of the beetles on the way?

No, I was lucky enough to avoid them. Of course, I was warned against them before I set off, so I was prepared to dodge anything that seemed to resemble one before it could threaten me.

I'm pretty impressed, a lot of people were still losing their souls after we found out what was going on!
