Having seen several mentions of the upcoming holiday season already, I suppose this is as prudent a time as any to raise awareness of Souji-kun's Breeding Centre and Foster Home for Pokemon — both fine places for anyone looking to acquire a new Pokemon. Though he's regrettably no longer among us, his legacy lives on in the form of these two institutions, and the very capable Saber-san has graciously taken up the charge of overseeing them in his absence. I myself can vouch for the reputability of the organizations, and likewise would personally recommend them to any trainers interested in augmenting their rosters or finding gifts for a friend or acquaintance.
Of the two, I'd particularly emphasize the existence of the Foster Home. There are many benefits to raising a Pokemon from hatching, of course, but there's likewise something undeniably rewarding about being the person to provide a good home for a stray in need.No matter what that stray might be.
That said, speaking of finding good homes for Pokemon needing one, it seems I have some eggs of my own to contend with. Anyone interested in acquiring one, please inquire within; I'll attach the list of types available to this post.
[OOC: And here is the IC post for this batch of eggs! There are still some left, so feel free to cruise on over and snag one!]

[ And in about fifteen minutes exactly Aradia will locate the cafe, Indy the haunter trailing along after her in his usual fashion. He occasionally makes faces at passers-by, but otherwise sticks fairly close to his trainer, who has only just realized she has no idea what "Yagyuu Hiroshi" looks like. Whoops. ]
action;
No?
WELP.
Don't mind the well-dressed guy in scarf and coat brandishing a Bulbasaur egg, he'll just be over here TRYING NOT TO PEE HIMSELF IN TERROR.]
action;
...Well, he is holding a pokemon egg! Nothing for it but to ask.
So yes, Indy is coming closer, with Aradia, before he phases out of sight. And then pops up right behind Yagyuu, because he's a jerk like that.
Aradia ignores his antics. ] Ah, Yagyuu Hiroshi?
action;
...but the bad news is, it still makes him want to scream like a little girl every time.
PHANTOM THE ABSOL, WHERE ARE YOU, DO YOUR DAMN JOB AS A STARTER AND MENACE THAT GHOST ALREADY, DAMMIT.]
Ah. Yes. Yes, that's me, and you must be Megido-san?
[COME ON, MAN, YOU ARE SHAMING YOURSELF AND YOUR SCHOOL AND THE VERY NAME OF TENNIS BACK A THOUSAND GENERATIONS, BE IMMOVABLE LIKE THE MOUNTAIN OR SOMETHING, SHIT.]
And this is your...Haunter. I presume.
action;
While Indy's grin is creepy, Aradia has a warm, cheerful smile. She's relieved to have found him even without a description. ] Oh, yes! You can call me Aradia, though.
And this is Indiana Jones, although he goes by Indy for short. [ And here she'l shoot a look at her own starter, which says something along the lines of "Stop mucking around over there and come greet Yagyuu properly". Indy obeys willingly enough, popping back up in the front. ]
action;
By which she means Yagyuu. Yagyuu is her true love.
(Which reminds her, who the hell is this random non-male person her beloved is talking to, anyway?)]
Aradia-san, as you prefer. You're a fan of adventure movies, I take it?
[Thus speaks the guy who named his starter after the titular character of The Phantom of the Opera.]
And Indy, as well. [He glances down, motioning to the Espeon now waiting placidly at his feet.] This is Lady, my Espeon.
ction;
I am! Especially adventurologist ones - I mean, adventurer and slash or archaeologists. Like Indy! It was something of a childhood dream of mine.
[ Aradia gives Lady a little nod/wave combo. ] Lady - it's nice to meet you.
[ She didn't catch that reference. ]
action;
I see. I admit, they're not my choice of favorite, but my teammates have certainly ensured that I've seen a fair number of them anyway. And while we're on the topic of Pokemon, here, this is the Bulbasaur egg you asked for.
[He offers it obligingly.]
Lady is the first Pokemon I ever hatched. Raising her has been rewarding, to say the least; I hope you'll find your Bulbasaur equally so.
action;
She has a thing for ghosts. ] Thank you so much! I'll be certain to take care of it.
[ Aradia eyes Lady with renewed interest. ] She was hatched? I do think it's rather rewarding - the training and the hatching, I mean. It feels useful!
action;
She was. I bred her myself, from a pair of my teammates' Pokemon. I later inherited her mother, actually, when one of them departed Johto entirely, but Lady is the one I've had longest, and in some ways she's the most significant, as she's the one who is truly mine.
[She also responds well to flattery and Yagyuu knows how to keep His Laydeez happy.]
action;
[ She has no idea what to do with them since the levels of pokemon around the town aren't really... comparable. Aradia's a little worried they might get bored. ] Are you a breeder, then?
action;
[And when you figure at one point he had more than twenty castmates and now he's down to about one...]
That's the designation I was given, yes. I've found it rewarding enough.
action;
I've been enjoying it so far, too, really! And one of my trainer friends - Jake English - said I could utilize his roster for breeding matches, so I think that will help widen my pool somewhat?
action;
[Thus speaks the guy who's hit his box limit, whoops. GDI, people taking off and leaving him shit.]
There are some particularly creative matches you can come up with, if you find the right combination.
