[So it appears from this video that Yagyuu is up to something.
Specifically, he seems to have the Gear's camera trained on a wide area of open space on the floor of what is probably an inn room, where at the moment he is methodically laying out what appears to be a full set of evolutionary stones in a wide circle. His Espeon, for those familiar enough with her to know she's generally always around where Yagyuu is and look for her accordingly, happens to be just barely visible at the far end of the room, overseeing this process with an authoritative air.
When the circle is complete, Yagyuu finishes and casts a glance at her as if curious for her approval; she trills affirmatively in response, and he thoughtfully turns his eyes back to the array on the floor.
After a long, silent moment, he pushes up his glasses and sighs.]
Well, then.
[He strides out of the camera's view. A door hinge creaks. Tiny nails skitter across the floor.
PANDEMONIUM BREAKS LOOSE.
A tiny rampage of seven brown Eevees charges into view, heading straight for the cluster of five evolutionary stones. The one in the red collar arrives first, skids out on unsteady paws, and looks frantically around for a split-second before fairly diving onto the Fire Stone in the array; the one in the green collar is hot on his heels, but an ill-timed sneeze sends him stumbling back to land on top of the Thunderstone.
The one in the gray collar seems to appraise the remaining choices a moment before finally making a beeline for the Mossy Rock, but just before he can reach it, the one in the blue collar slams an excellently-placed kick home upside his head, knocking him squarely onto the Water Stone instead. With a trumphant swish of his tail, the blue-collared one trots over to the Mossy Rock and picks it up, beginning his own evolution.
(Yagyuu carefully hides an amused and nasty smile.)
The most languid of the group, the one in the yellow collar, casts the one in the brown collar a breezy glance; there's only one stone remaining, and two of them to contend over it. The one in the brown collar moves first, charges — and runs right past the stone to jump on Yagyuu's shoes, instead. By the time Yagyuu has eased him off, the one in the yellow collar has retrieved the Frozen Rock for himself.
It all happens fast, and the light that fills the room as a result of the mass evolution is immense; when it finally clears, Yagyuu is looking down at a Flareon, a Vaporeon, a Jolteon, a Leafeon, a Glaceon, and an Eevee — still proudly wearing their red, gray, green, blue, yellow, and brown collars.
Then, just as it seems he's about to say something, there comes a faint squeak and one more flash of brilliant light — and there, next to Lady, one final evolution is taking place. The grandkids' adopted sister, in her little pink collar, has just begun to evolve. When the light clears, there are two Espeons staring at Yagyuu, instead of just one.
As Yagyuu turns back to the camera, an Umbreon and another Flareon trot back into the room, to see what all the commotion has produced.]
That should make it somewhat easier to tell you apart, at least. And I suppose there are worse ways to commemorate the completion of an entire year in Johto.
[He bends, scooping up Lady into his arms, and gives her a thoughtful scratch behind the ears.]
Though with Marui-kun gone...
[Lady makes a soft noise, rubbing her head against him as he continues to pet her, absently.]
This place does have a fondness for dual anniversaries, doesn't it.
[He walks over to the camera, still carrying Lady, and reaches to switch it off; in the next moment, the feed goes dead.]

Six months, Niou-kun.
Marui-kun has gone home. That's fitting, isn't it? You were the first and now I'm the last.
When it's my turn to be six months without you, will you come back?
That may be more than one can expect of a stray cat, but I don't think it's too much for you.
I miss you.
[OOC: Whew! A long post today. Which...is largely because this is my one-year anniversary right along with Yagyuu's. Happy anniversary, Route! It's been a wonderful year of being a part of this community, and I hope for many more to come. o/]

[Keisuke pauses a moment. He had only spoken to Marui twice, after all.]
I'm sorry to hear about your friend going home. That must put a damper on this day.
